Paris Olympics 2024: Updated medal tally after 29 July 2024
It was a positive day for the Chinese contingent at Paris Olympics 2024.
The Paris Olympics 2024 in France are picking up speed with every passing day. Monday’s action saw plenty of athletes add to their country’s medal tally with remarkable performances in various disciplines. China stood out from the rest as they won multiple gold medals on July 29.
Indian athletes failed to add any medals to their tally with Arjun Babuta coming close, finishing fourth in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle event as Sheng Lihao of China won gold in the event. He collected China’s fifth gold at Paris Olympics 2024. Lian Junjie and Yang Hao of China also won gold in the diving discipline in the men’s Synchronized 3m Platform event.
Japan was also amongst the gold medal winners on Monday as Yuto Horigome finsihed on top of the podium in the men’s Street final event from the skateboarding discipline, leaving the United States of America duo Jagger Eaton and Nyjah Huston to settle for silver and bronze respectively.

Updated Paris Olympics 2024 Medal Tally after July 29 (Monday), Day 3
It was a good day for the Asian countries at Paris Olympics 2024. Japan has taken a leap to the top with six gold, two silver and four bronze medals. It won the gold in men’s team under Artistic Gymanstics and in men’s epee individual bout under fencing.
Meawhile, China is placed second is placed second with five gold, three silver and two bronze medals. the 10m Air rifle event brought home two medals for the nation. While Lihao won the gold in the men’s event, Huang Yuting won the silver in women’s competetion. China also won the silver medal in the men’s team under Artistic Gymanstics.

South Korea is placed third with five gold, three silver and one bronze medal. It continued the domination in the archery event, winning gold in the Men’s Team gold medal match against France by a 5-1 score. Ban Hyo-jin took the gold in women’s 10m air rifle event.
Hosts, France are placed fourth with four gold, seven silver and three bronze medals. Nicolas Gestins secured gold in the Men’s Canoe Single Final from the Canoe Slalom event. Leon Marchand added another gold for France in the men’s 400m individual medley under swimming.
Australia has dropped down to fifth position with four gold and three silver medals. Christopher Burton won the silver medal in eventing individual jumping under Equestrian.
Expectedly, as the Paris Olympics 2024 progresses and more events take place, the United States of America will be among the leaders in the medal tally. They are currently in sixth postion with three gold, seven silver and five bronze medals.
Great Britain also added golds to their medal tally courtesy of Thomas Pidcock who finished at the top in Cycling Mountain Bike discipline’s Men’s Cross-country event. Rosalind Canter and Tom McEwen also notched gold in the Equestrian discipline, pipping their opponents in the eventing ream event. They are in seventh place in the medal tally with two gold, four silver and three bronze medals.
