Novak Djokovic will play his fifth Olympics in Paris 2024.

Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic recently took to social media and uploaded a series of pictures from his preparations ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion will be playing his fifth Olympics. Djokovic made his debut at the 2008 Games in Beijing, where he secured a bronze medal with a memorable win over former American tennis star James Blake in straight sets.

Since then, the 24-time Grand Slam champion has failed to complete his ambition of winning an Olympic gold medal. During the 2012 Games, Djokovic lost to Argentina’s Juan Martín del Potro in the bronze medal match.

In Rio, his campaign was halted in the first round by Martin del Potro again in straight sets. The same story of missing the medal by a slight margin continued in Tokyo after Djokovic lost to Spain’s Pablo Carreño Busta in the bronze medal match. However, the Serb is ready to play at the Olympics for the fifth time.

In 2024, Novak Djokovic has played only one final, the 2024 Wimbledon Championships, where he lost to four-time Grand Slam champion Carlos Alcaraz in straight sets in only two hours and 27 minutes. At the 2024 French Open, he withdrew from the quarterfinals due to a meniscus tear in his right knee.

He played at the All England Lawn Tennis Club with a grey sleeve on his right knee, and during the final, it seemed the Serb was facing adversity in moving across the court. Despite the recent setback, Novak Djokovic has started his preparations for the Paris Olympics.

The 37-year-old recently took to Instagram and uploaded a few pictures, where he can be seen preparing for the Olympics. He captioned the social media post, “Getting ready for @olympics. Who’s with me?”

Apart from Djokovic, Dusan Lajovic will also represent Serbia at the Paris Olympics in the men’s singles event. However, the 10-time Australian Open champion will have a tough route to gold in the French capital, as Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Casper Ruud and Lorenzo Musetti will also compete for their first Olympic medal.
