Born on 05 May, 2003, in Villena, Spain, Carlos Alcaraz, is one of the most talented youngsters currently in the men's single circuit. The young prodigy turned professional in 2018 and has won one Grand Slam title so far in his short career. He won his only grand slam title at the US Open 2022. With the US Open win, Alcaraz became the youngest man to top the singles rankings and also became the first teenager in the Open Era to top the ATP men's singles rankings. Overall he has won eleven ATP Tour-level singles titles including the US Open. At 17, Alcaraz made it to the main draw of the Australian Open, making him the youngest competitor in the men's singles section. In 2021, he went on to win the Next Gen ATP finals by defeating several top players like Sebastian Korda, Holger Rune, and Juan Manuel Cerundolo. In the following year, Alcaraz won his first ATP 500 title by defeating Argentinian Diego Schwartzman in the final. He defeating his role model and 20-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal and became the first teenager to defeat him on clay. The following day, he went on to beat the 23-time grand slam champion from Serbia Novak Djokovic at the Madrid Masters. After proving his prowess in clay, Alcaraz won his first grass court title at the Queens Club Championships 2023 leading up to the Wimbledon Championships 2023.
