Gymnast Simone Biles will be in action during women’s team finals at Paris Olympics 2024.

As the Paris Olympics 2024 enters its fourth day, Team USA finds itself in a strong position, with the medal count with 20 medals as of 29 July. The games are in full swing, with nearly 10,500 athletes from 206 countries competing for Olympic glory. Day 4 events promise excitement with American athletes featuring in various disciplines.

The U.S. women’s gymnastics team, fresh from posting the highest score in qualifications, looks to secure gold in the team final. In the pool, defending champions aim to repeat their success from previous games. Boxing also takes center stage, with American fighters stepping into the ring with high hopes.

Here are five U.S. athletes to keep an eye on as they aim for Olympic glory on day 4 at Paris Olympics 2024:

Simone Biles – Gymnastics

Gymnastics star Simone Biles is back in action for the women’s team final. The 27-year-old will compete in all four events, despite a recent calf injury. Biles, known for her exceptional grace, hopes to lead Team USA to gold. This marks her return to team competition after stepping back from some events in Tokyo.

Bobby Finke- Swimming

Swimming Swimmer Bobby Finke will defend his Olympic titles in the 800-meter and 1500-meter freestyle races. Finke won both events at the U.S. trials and is a favorite to win again. The 24-year-old is known for his strong finishes in these long-distance races. Finke will be in action in 800m freestyle race.

Coco Gauff – Tennis

Coco Gauff is playing at the Olympics for the first time. She is playing singles, doubles with Jessica Pegula and mixed doubles with Taylor Fritz at Paris Olympics 2024. The 20-year-old will face Croatian, Donna Vekic in the third round of singles. Gauff will also begin her mixed doubles campaign with Fritz on July 30.

Roscoe Hill – Boxing

In men’s boxing, 29-year-old Roscoe Hill fights in the flyweight division. Hill has a unique style and recent international wins shows that the amateur boxer is not be taken lightly. He earned silver at the 2021 World Championships and looks to make his mark in his debut sumer games at Paris Olmypics 2024. Roscoe Hill will be in action against Billal Bennama in the Round of 16 of Men’s flyweight.

Alysaa Mendoza – Boxing

Alyssa Mendoza is one the upcoming talents among boxers from USA. The 20-year-old is making her debut in the summer games at Paris Olympics 2024. She was the national champion in 2022 and is now aiming to deliver hard punches in the biggest stage. Mendoza will be competing in 57kg division against experienced boxer, Mijgona Samadova of Tajikistan.
