Paris Olympics 2024: Top five USA athletes to watch on Day 6

Archer Brady Ellison and swimmer Regan Smith will lead the USA contingent on day 6 of Paris Olympics 2024.
The Paris Olympics 2024 is getting more interesting with time. Athletes from all the nations are seen to be putting all their efforts in their respective sports. Team USA has also been a regular name when it comes to the medals.
Athletes of the United States of America have bagged a total of 30 medals till now, which includes five gold, 13 silver and 12 bronze medals, which have them in the seventh place of the medal tally.
China is leading the chart with 19 medals which includes, nine gold, seven silver and three bronze. They are followed by Japan, France, Great Britain, Australia and the Republic of Korea respectively.

Brady Ellison (Archery)
The three time Olympic medalist Brady Ellison will be in action in the men’s individual 1/32 elimination round against Turkey’s Abdullah Yildirmis.
Ellison who generally competes in recurve archery holds the record for being the world no.1 ranked men’s recurve archer for the longest period of time, which is from August 2011 to April 2013. He had won one silver in the team event at the 2012 London Olympics. At the 2016 Rio Olympics, he bagged one silver in team event and one bronze in individual event.
His match is scheduled tomorrow at 10:48 GMT and 14:18 IST.
Casey Kaufhold (Archery)
The other well known archer of the United States who will be in action tomorrow at Paris Olympics 2024 is Casey Kaufhold. She will compete in the women’s individual 1/32 elimination round against Fatoumata Sylla of Guinea.

This is going to be her second appearance at the Olympics, as her first appearance was at the Tokyo Olympics. Kaufhold has won two major medals at the Pan American Championships, which includes one gold and one silver in the team event.
Her match is scheduled tomorrow at 12:45 GMT and 16:15 IST.
Kara Kohler (Rowing)
London Olympics bronze medalist, American Rower Kara Kohler will be in action on Day 6 in the A/B 2 semi-final of women’s single sculls event.
Kara started her journey in the women’s single scull event from 2018, after which she won a bronze medal at the 2019 World Rowing Championships. She is competing at the Olympics for the third time and understands the pressure that comes with it.
Her event is scheduled at 9:30 GMT and 13:10 IST.
Mary Carolynn Tucker (Shooting)
Another USA athlete to watch out for is Mary Carolynn Tucker. The shooter will compete in the qualification round of Women’s 50m Rifle Three Positions.
Mary has already won a silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the Mixed 10m air rifle team event. She has also won a gold at the 2023 World Shooting Championships in Women’s 50m Rifle Three Positions.
Her event is scheduled at 12:00 GMT and 15:30 IST.
Regan Smith (Swimming)
Regan Smith who has already won a silver medal at the Paris Olympics 2024 in the women’s 200m butterfly event will compete in the semifinals of 200m butterfly event on Day 6. Smith will also be seen in 200m backstroke heats in heats 3.
Before coming to the Paris Olympics 2024, Regan had three olympics medals to her name. In the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she won one silver in 200m butterfly, one bronze in 100m backstroke and another silver in 4x100m medley event.
Her 200m buttefly event is scheduled tomorrow at 20:45 GMT and 0:15 IST (August 1) and 200m backstroke event is at 9:00 GMT and 14:30 IST.
