India at Paris Olympics 2024: Wrestling schedule, squad, live streaming details
Tokyo 2020 medalists Bajrang Punia and Ravi Dahiya failed to qualify for Paris Olympics.
Wrestling has been India’s second-most successful sport in the Olympic Games, after hockey, accounting for seven medals. Indian wrestlers have always been top contenders at the Games and will be crucial to India’s chances at Paris, as the country aims for a historic double-digit medal haul.
Wrestling events at the Paris Olympics will start on August 5 and conclude on August 11. All events will take place at the Champ-de-Mars Arena, a 10,000 square-metre temporary building. For the first time in Olympic history, seedings have been introduced in wrestling.
Vinesh Phogat will lead India’s six-member wrestling contingent at the 2024 Paris Olympics, with Antim Panghal and Aman Sehrawat being the only seeded wrestlers. While all of them are competing in freestyle, only one men’s player was able to secure qualification. India’s six Greco-Roman wrestlers failed to secure a single Paris 2024 Olympic quota from the Asian Wrestling Olympic Qualifiers in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

Women’s: Vinesh Phogat (50kg), Antim Panghal (53kg), Anshu Malik (57kg), Nisha Dahiya (68kg), Reetika Hooda (76kg)
