Novak Djokovic won his only Olympic medal at the 2008 Beijing Games.
Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic is keen to win his first Olympic gold medal, and for that, he has made a few big changes to his routine and workout regime.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion’s only Olympic medal came at Beijing 2008. where he defeated America’s James Blake in straight sets to win bronze. In 2012, he was the flagbearer of Serbia; however, he failed to win a medal for his country.
Djokovic will be playing at the Olympics for the fifth time. However, he has failed to secure a podium finish since the Beijing Games. In tennis history, only Andre Agassi has managed to complete a Career Super Slam, which includes winning all four Grand Slams, the ATP Masters, and the Olympic gold.
The likes of Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer have failed to reach the feat. Thus, in his potentially last event, the Serb has decided to give his best. During the 2024 Roland Garros, Djokovic withdrew from the quarter-finals after he tore the meniscus of his right knee.
