Paris Olympics 2024: Which sports will Indian athletes participate at summer games

Indian athletes will be competing in 16 sports disciplines at Paris Olympics 2024.
The Indian contingent will be sending in 117 athletes at the Paris Olympics 2024. Indian athletes will be competing in 16 sports disciplines. They will start competing from July 25 and the final event for India will be on August 11.
With multiple medal contenders, India will be looking to hit the double-digit medal tally for the first time in Olympic history. At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, the nation recorded its best ever tally of seven medals. This time the numbers are expected to go even higher.
At Tokyo, India sent out 121 athletes which is the highest ever for the nation. Out of the 117 athletes this year, the majority is of male members with 70. There will also be 72 athletes in the Indian contingent who will be making their debut at Paris Olympics 2024.
The highest number of Indian representations is in athletics as there are 29 members in the event. Next are the shooters who are the second highest in fray with 21 athletes. Meanwhile, Equestrian, Weightlifting, Judo and Rowing will have only one athlete each in the discipline.

The Indian athletes will be joined by 68 coaches and 50 support staff. Athletics again leads in terms of coaches and support staff. There will be 11 coaches and six support staff for the members in the event.
Archery will be the first event where the Indian athletes will be competing at Paris Olympics 2024. The concluding event at Paris for Indian athletes will be wrestling. The events where Indian athletes will be competing at Paris Olympics 2024 with the start date and end date is listed below.
