The Paris Paralympics 2024 will begin on August 28.

Neeraj Chopra has sent his best wishes to the Indian contingent at Paris Paralympics 2024. The two-time Olympic medallist took to X (Twitter) to celebrate the start of the Paralympics and stated that the Indian contingent will continue to inspire all. The 17th edition of the games is set to start in a day as the opening ceremony will take place in a few hours.

Chopra had won his second Olympic medal during Paris Olympics 2024 in men’s javelin throw. He had secured silver and became the first Indian track and field athlete to win multiple Olympic medals since Independence. He would now cheer for more records to be broken by his fellow athletes at Paris Paralympics 2024.

The 26-year-old has been an inspiration for the para-athletes. Sumit Antil, the defending champion in men’s javelin throw F64 had praised Chopra for his performance at Paris. He also revealed that Chopra had told him to trust his preparation and stay cool in Paris. Antil will be hoping to emulate Chopra and will again try to break the world record just like he did at Tokyo Paralympics 2020.
