1:00 PM Sailing events have been delayed due to poor weather conditions. It's raining in Tokyo, plus heavy winds do not make it ideal for the race to take place.

Lovlina Borgohain will face Chinese Taipei's Chen Nien-chin in the quarterfinals after she defeated Italy's Angela Carini 3-2 via split decision.

Men's Skiff Sailing race has been delayed due to poor weather conditions

A great result for Lovlina Borgohain as she was fearless with her punches and left a low guard luring Apetz to make mistakes. The Assamese boxer threw some clean punches throughout the game and also defended well when it was needed. She is just a win away from clinching an Olympic medal. She will play the winner of the match between Italy's Angela Carini and Taiwan's Chen Nien-chi.

5:10 AM Good morning ladies & gentlemen! My name is Shibajee Das and I shall be hosting you in the first quarter of day 5. Let's hope for a productive day up ahead in the Olympics for all Indians around. The first event begins at 5:30 AM so stay tuned.

5:00 AM Day 5 of the Tokyo Olympics for the Indian contingent will begin with the Indian shooters. Teenage shooting sensations Saurabh Chaudhary and Manu Bhaker will team up for the 10m air pistol mixed team event. There were high hopes on the shoulders of the 19-year-olds going into the Olympics. Chaudhary finished 7th in the men’s 10m air pistol event. On the other hand, Bhaker failed to clear the qualification round in the women’s 10m air pistol event, owing to an equipment malfunction.

However, their record, whenever they have teamed up together, has been brilliant. Bhaker and Chaudhary have won at least a silver medal in the ISSF World Cup in the mixed team at every participation together. They will be hoping to replicate such form on the biggest stage now. Another Indian pair who will be in action in this event will be Abhishek Verma and Yashaswini Singh Deswal.
