Frisbee tournament Mumbai Ultimate League to start from April 13; matches to be played on weekends

The defending champions Dancing Dragons will face last year’s finalists Bumbai Buntais on the opening day of the Mumbai Ultimate League.
Off-Season Ultimate (OSU) is set to premiere the Refex Mumbai Ultimate League (MUL) Season 5 from tomorrow with defending champions Dancing Dragons facing off against Bumbai Buntais at the Wings Arena, Bandra. Six matches will be played on the opening day in two fields simultaneously. The matches are scheduled for 4 PM, 5:30 PM, and 7 PM.
The Afterburners will face Reborn Fire in Field 2, and the latter will return to face Bumbai Bantais in both teams’ second match of the day. The new entrants, Bombay Rhinos and Desi Hawks, will make their debut in the MUL as they take on each other in Field 1 in the second set of matches.
Every match will be played over two halves of 40 minutes each with half time at 40 minutes or when a team scores 7 points, whichever happens first. Each team will receive 3 points for a win and 1 point for a tied match.
The top two teams in the table will play in Qualifier 1 for a place in the final, while the third and fourth-placed teams will play in the Eliminator. The losers of Qualifier 1 and the winners of the Eliminator match will play in Qualifier 2 to decide the second finalists. A placement match to decide 5th and 6th places will also be played at the end of the league.

The league will run on weekends from April 13th to May 4th, 2025, at Wings Arena, Bandra. MUL Season 5 will continue to push boundaries, bringing together top talent from the country for dynamic gameplay in an electrifying atmosphere.
Player Auctions for the season were conducted on March 14 with 102 players sold to the six teams. The teams retained 9 players and added another 9 through a “snake draft” process before the auction. The team owners are also playing members of their respective squads, adding another unique aspect to this league.
