Raksha Bandhan, a festival honoring the brother-sister bond, was observed with enthusiasm throughout India on August 19. Several Indian sports personalities joined in the celebrations, sharing heartwarming moments with their siblings on social media.

Suryakumar Yadav, the captain of India’s T20 cricket team, celebrated with his sister, Dinal Yadav. Dinal shared joyful photos of their celebration on Instagram.

Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh also marked the occasion by sharing an emotional tribute on his Instagram. He recounted a touching story about celebrating with his sisters, emphasizing the importance of family ties.

Rising cricket star Rinku Singh celebrated with his brother, Jeetu Singh. and his sister Jeetu shared a video on Instagram showing their close-knit sibling relationship.

Indian Olympian shooter Manu Bhaker, who recently won two medals at the Paris Olympics, also celebrated with her brother. Bhaker uplaoded a story on Instagram with his brother Akhil, showing her love with her sibling.

Wrestler Vinesh Phogat, recently back from the Paris Olympics, celebrated Raksha Bandhan with her brother Harvinder Phogat in their hometown, Balali, Haryana. In a viral video uploaded by IANS, Vinesh humorously joked about receiving a bundle of ₹500 notes from her brother, saying, “He gave me his lifetime earnings.”
