World Para Athletics Championships 2025: Updated India schedule for Day 9, October 5

India will participate in five medal events on Sunday.

Having already recorded their best-ever medal tally in the championship history, India will hope to hit the 20-medal mark on the final day at World Para Athletics Championships 2025.

A total of seven Indians para-athletes will be in action on the last day (October 5), competing in five medal events. Big names like Navdeep Singh, Simran Sharma and Preethi Pal will be in action, with the latter two eyeing their second medal in New Delhi.

For India, the final day will begin with Karamjyoti, Pooja and Sakshi Kasana participating in women’s discus throw F55 final.

Simran Sharma will then hope to make the medal round in women’s 200m T12 event while Sandeep and Preethi Pal will also compete in heats in their respective events.

In the evening session, Simran, Preethi and Sandeep will return to action—should they qualify—with the medal rounds of all three events scheduled for Sunday evening.

Finally, India’s para-athletics poster boy Navdeep Singh will be in action in men’s javelin throw F41 event. A bronze medallist in the event, Navdeep will hope to be crowned world champion and add to this already glittering career achievements.

So far, India has won 18 medals in the home edition of the championships surpassing their previous best medal tally of 17 [achieved in 2024 edition]. And with one more day of action remaining, India are well placed to hit the 20-medal mark.

  • 9:00 AM – Women’s Discus Throw F55 Final – Karamjyoti, Pooja, Sakshi Kasana
  • 9:10 AM – Men’s 200m T44 Round 1 – Sandeep
  • 9:32 AM – Women’s 200m T12 Semi-Final – Simran Sharma
  • 10:17 AM – Women’s 100m T35 Round 1 – Preethi Pal
  • 5:15 PM – Women’s 200m T12 Final – Simran Sharma
  • 5:42 PM – Women’s 100m T35 Final – Preethi Pal
  • 6.14 PM – Men’s 200m T44 Final – Sandeep
  • 6:18 PM – Men’s Javelin Throw F41 Final – Navdeep
