Top 10 Indian players to watch at World Para Athletics Championships 2025

Sumil Antil and Preethi Pal will be one of India’s medal favourites in the World Para Athletics championships 2025.

For the first time in the competition’s history, India will host the World Para Athletics Championships, with the event scheduled to be held in New Delhi from September 27 to October 5.

While India hosting the event is history in itself, the para-athletes will hope to add cherry on top by bagging a record medal haul in the home edition of the championships.

In the previous edition in Japan, India returned with 17 medals—the country’s best-ever performance at the event. And with several medalists from that edition, along with Paralympic medal winners, set to be in action, India will be eyeing at least 20 medals on home turf.

On that note, let’s look at the top 10 Indian para-athletes to watch out for at the World Para Athletics Championships 2025.
