Rica Fujiwara gave Chennai Super Champs a strong start by defeating Lorena Duknic 24-11.

Chennai Super Champs further their flawless start to the World Pickleball League (WPBL) 2026 campaign with a 3-2 win over Rajasthan Titans at the Jio World Garden in Mumbai tonight.

Chennai gained an unassailable advantage in the contest as they won the opening women’s singles, mixed doubles, and men’s singles fixtures to secure a 3-0 advantage in the tie upfront.

Rica Fujiwara gave the Super Champs a solid start, as she breezed past Lorena Duknic by 24-11 in a fairly one-sided contest.

That was followed by Ly Hoang Nam and Carlota Trevino joining hands to win 14-9 against Rajasthan’s mixed doubles pairing of Amanda Hendry and Trinh Linh Giang.

Hoang, who was the Wimbledon champion in boys’ doubles with Sumit Nagal in 2015, returned to the court for the marquee men’s singles fixture against Jack Foster.

The Vietnamese star triumphed by 13-9 to make light work of Foster, who was Bengaluru’s lynchpin when they had won the WPBL last season.

The victory had handed Chennai a total stronghold over the proceedings, but what followed was two gripping matches where the Titans ended up gaining the bragging rights.

The women’s and men’s doubles matches tilted in the opponent’s favour, but Chennai fell short by merely three-four points. In fact, Tanner Tomassi’s 11-8 loss to the duo of Giang and Naveen Beasley alongside Do Minh Quan was only his second defeat in World Pickleball League history so far.
