Samantha Ruth-owned Chennai Super Champs conducts free pickleball camp for government schools

Over 250 students from local government schools got their first-ever experience of playing pickleball.
Chennai Super Champs, the city’s World Pickleball League franchise owned by renowned actor-entrepreneur Samantha Ruth Prabhu, conducted a free pickleball coaching camp.
The event took place at the newly inaugurated indoor courts of Sathyabama University introducing 250 students from local government schools to the sport for the first time.
Certified coaches from AIPA (All India Pickleball Association) and APTSU (Amateur Pickleball Tamil Nadu Sports Unit) led training sessions that included basic skills, drills and guided match play.
The initiative comes ahead of Chennai Super Champs hosting its flagship pickleball tournament, the inaugural Chennai Open, scheduled from November 13.
The franchise aims to promote pickleball at the grassroots level and expand access to structured coaching across the city. More such camps are planned for schools and communities in the coming weeks.
