TNA considering moving iMPACT to Wednesday nights to compete with AEW's Dynamite: Report

TNA iMPACT, which debuted on June 4, 2004, is the flagship weekly program from the Nashville-based promotion, which currently airs on AXS TV as well as streaming on TNA+ every Thursday.
The show featured top stars from the brand as well as stars from WWE‘s developmental brand NXT, due to the working relationship between the two brands. The show has become a staple for wrestling fans every Thursday. However, according to a new report, it is about the change.
What Happened?
According to Sports Illustrated‘s Jon Alba, Nashville-based promotion is open to moving its show from Thursday to Wednesday nights, where it would go head-to-head with All Elite Wrestling’s (AEW) Dynamite.
The report further adds that TNA Wrestling has also had discussions of potentially moving to a “WWE-associated network.”
Although The CW (home of NXT) wasn’t explicitly named as the destination, it was conveyed as per the report that the network has a genuine interest in TNA. Additionally, some WWE stakeholders are reportedly in favor of TNA joining The CW.
The report also notes that the extent of those discussions remains unclear, and it was emphasized that no deals have been finalized at this time.

Former UFC owner is interested in buying the Nashville-based promotion
Following the report from Jon Alba, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that there’s a wave of unconfirmed speculations circulating in the wrestling world that Lorenzo Fertitta might be looking to purchase the promotion.
Fertitta, alongside his brother Frank Fertitta the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) in 2001 through their company Zuffa LLC. Under their leadership, the UFC grew into a global sports powerhouse. The UFC is now under the TKO banner alongside WWE.
When does TNA iMPACT currently air?
Impact currently broadcasts on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on AXS TV in the U.S., and it’s also available via the TNA+ streaming platform.
When does AEW Dynamite currently air?
Dynamite airs live every Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on TBS in the U.S. and is simulcast on HBO Max.
