Sacramento gets a massive live edition of TNA Impact with a World title shot on the line.
TNA Wrestling heads to Sacramento, California, for a stacked live edition of Thursday Night iMPACT! this week.
The show takes place on Thursday, May 14, at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium. Unlike the recent weeks of taped programming, this will be a live episode of TNA Impact before the next set of tapings on May 15 at the same venue. The May 14 show airs live on AMC in the United States.
Three major matches have been confirmed for the evening, headlined by a TNA World Championship #1 Contenders Battle Royal, a brutal Sactown Street Fight, and a historic X-Division title defence.
Announced for TNA Impact (May 14, 2026)
- TNA World Championship #1 Contenders Battle Royal
- Sactown Street Fight: KC Navarro vs AJ Francis (Special Guest Announcer: Chris Caray)
- Leon Slater (c) vs Cedric Alexander — TNA X-Division Championship (2-out-of-3 Falls)
- Victoria Crawford & Mila Moore vs Rosemary & Allie
TNA World Championship #1 Contenders Battle Royal
TNA has announced that a number one contender’s battle royal for a shot at the TNA World Championship will take place on the show. With Mike Santana holding the TNA World Championship, the winner of this battle royal will earn themselves a future title opportunity against “Proud & Powerful.”
Feature matches on May 14 include the battle royal to determine the #1 contender for TNA world champion Mike Santana. The participants have not been officially confirmed yet, making this one of the most unpredictable elements of the evening. Expect several major names to throw their hats in the ring as they look to stake their claim as the next challenger for the gold.
Sactown Street Fight: KC Navarro vs AJ Francis (Special Guest Announcer: Chris Caray)
The bitter rivalry between former tag team partners A.J. Francis and KC Navarro spills into a Sacramento Street Fight where nothing is off-limits, and everything goes in a war to settle the score.
KC Navarro was cast out and replaced from FIRTCLA$, with betrayal fuelling his quest for payback, while Francis looks to prove he made the right call. After nearly a year on the shelf, KC Navarro returned to get revenge on AJ Francis. The two have traded blows on multiple occasions since Navarro’s return, and Sacramento will now serve as the backdrop for their most violent confrontation yet.
Adding a unique flavour to the broadcast, TNA confirmed that Chris Caray, a fourth-generation MLB play-by-play TV announcer for the Athletics and the great-grandson of Baseball Hall of Famer Harry Caray, will join the TNA Broadcast Team for the Sacramento Street Fight.
Leon Slater (c) vs Cedric Alexander — TNA X-Division Championship (2-out-of-3 Falls)
Slater and Alexander have met twice previously in X-Division title matches, with the British wrestler winning each time. The two are now scheduled to collide for the third time on May 14, 2026.
Beyond simply retaining the championship, Slater has history in his sights. Slater is now very close to becoming the longest-reigning TNA X-Division champion of all time and will break the record on May 15, 2026. Should he get through Alexander on Thursday night, he will officially surpass the current record, held by Austin Aries and etch his name in the record books.
Slater himself spoke about what the milestone means: “Anyone from Austin Aries, who’s the current record holder, to AJ Styles, who was the first exhibition champion, Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle, you name the best of the best in the past 20 years and they’ve held this title. The fact that I’m about to become the longest reigning, if everything goes to plan, is something I hold very near and dear to my heart.”
The championship was created and debuted on June 19, 2002, and the current champion, Leon Slater, won the title by defeating Moose at Slammiversary on July 20, 2025.
The 2-out-of-3 Falls stipulation makes this one of the most physically demanding matches on the card and adds additional stakes to an already crucial encounter.
