TNA Lockdown returns to PPV for the first time since 2014, this time from Chicago.
TNA brings back Lockdown this Sunday, marking the 13th edition of the event and its first outing as a pay-per-view since 2014. The show emanates from the Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago, Illinois, and returns for the first time since 2016. Its signature remains intact; every single match on the card takes place inside a steel cage.
TNA World Tag Team Champions The Hardys (Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy) defend against The Nemeths (Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth), while the Knockouts World Tag Team titles are on the line as DemonXBunny (Rosemary and Allie) take on The Elegance Brand (Heather by Elegance and M by Elegance).
Jason Hotch defends the TNA International Championship against Mustafa Ali, Xia Brookside puts the Knockouts World Championship on the line against Elayna Black, and Cedric Alexander defends the X Division title against Leon Slater in a Last Man Standing match with the added stipulation that Slater’s previous title reign will be erased from history if he loses.
The card is topped off by a Lethal Lockdown match between The System and the team of Ricky Sosa, Fabian Aichner, KC Navarro and Jada Stone.
TNA Director of Authority, Santino Marella, during his appearance at the AAW Wrestling event, announced that AAW Heavyweight Champion Joe Alonzo will defend the title against The Home Town Man. Marella also announced that if Joe wins, he will get a TNA Contract.
Avery Styles, the son of TNA and WWE legend AJ Styles, is also confirmed for TNA Lockdown at the Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago this Sunday.
