SAFF Women's Club Championship: Updated Standings after Transport United FC vs East Bengal FC

East Bengal FC is also taking part in the inaugural edition of the tournament.

East Bengal FC have gotten off to a flying start in the first-ever SAFF Women’s Club Championship 2025 following a 4-0 win over Transport United FC. The tournament, which is taking place in Kathmandu, Nepal, will feature teams from five different SAFF Member Associations.

A brace from Fazila Ikwaput, alongside goals from Resty Nanziri and Sulanjana Raul, led to the Torchbearers winning their first game in the competition. A statement performance from the women sees East Bengal FC sit atop the standings as joint leaders with Nepal Armed Police on three points.

Teams will be competing over the upcoming two weeks to prove themselves as the best club in the SAFF Division. The unique tournament format is a significant development as the SAFF Championship was earlier organised notably for men’s national teams.

Only the top two teams will qualify for the Final after the round robin phase, making each game even more important for the participating clubs.

Here we take a look at the standings as things stand in the 2025 SAFF Women’s Club Championship.
