ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol Cairo 2023: Fixtures, schedule and telecast details

India has fielded a strong contingent for the tournament.
The 2023 ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol is scheduled to be held from February 19 and run until February 24, 2023. Olympians Anjum Moudgil, Manu Bhaker, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, Divyansh Singh Panwar, and World Champion Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil will lead the 34-member Indian contingent at the Egypt International Olympic City in Cairo.
This meeting is the second leg of the ISSF World Cup this year for the rifle and pistol shooters, as the first leg already took place in Jakarta, Indonesia. Kazakhstan topped the medal tally in the Jakarta stage with 3 gold, 5 silver, and 3 bronze. However, the Indian shooters skipped the first stage and will be eyeing to bring glory to the nation in this stage. The World Cup legs will not provide any quotas for the Paris Olympics 2024.
The 50m rifle 3 spots will feature the strongest contenders - a former youth world champion Aishwary and Swapnil, who gained an Olympic quota for India at the ISSF World Championship 2022, and former world no.1 and experienced Anjum Moudgil.
While the men's air rifle boasts Rudrankksh, the current world no. 1 as well as the reigning world champion, and Divyansh, who has won several medals at previous world cup editions. Tilottama Sen, the rising star, will also compete in a strong air rifle group that includes National Games 2022 champion and Olympian Elavenil Valarivan and Ramita, the reigning junior world champion.

The ISSF Shooting World Cup 2022 was held for rifle, pistol, and shotgun events in seven legs - Cairo, Nicosia, Lima, Rio de Janeiro, Lonato del Garda, Baku, and Changwon. India emerged as the overall winner of the World Cup by winning a whopping 47 medals. This included 17 golds, 21 silvers, and 9 bronze medals.
