Shiva Narwal was lagging behind since the beginning but started catching up with the following series of shots. After being almost out of the medal contention, they bounced back and pulled off an amazing comeback to defeat China by a solitary point who were leading for majority of the time.

In a heart-pounding conclusion to the team event, the Indian squad found themselves in second place with just two shots remaining. Sarabjot Singh's and Shiva's perfect 10s in those final shots secured the gold for India.

Sarabjot Singh, with 580 points, achieved the fifth position, and Arjun Singh Cheema, scoring 578 points, secured the eighth spot in the individual qualification event. Both qualified for the men's 10m Air Pistol individual final. Shiva Narwal failed to qualify with a score of 576 but was crucial in India clinching the team gold medal.

India has so far won 24 medals, with 13 of them coming from shooting including four gold, four silver and five bronze medals.
