The hosts now lead the overall medals tally as well and have claimed six Gold medals already.

India continued their fine performances on the third day of the ongoing ISSF World Cup, with the men’s skeet team clinching the Gold Medal whereas the women’s team grabbed the Silver Medal.

The women’s team which consisted of Parinaaz Dhaliwal, Karttiki Singh Shaktawat and Ganemat Sekhon took on Zoya Kravchenko, Rinata Nassyrova and Olga Panarina from Kazakhstan in the Gold medal match. Both the teams went toe to toe against each other from the beginning and were level on 4 points each at one stage.

However, the Kazakhs hit the jackpot in the ultimate round which meant that the Indian contingent had to settle for a silver medal in the event. The final score of the match was 6-4 in favour of the visitors.

For the Men's Skeet Team event's Gold medal match, India were represented by Gurjoat Khangura, Mairaj Ahmad Khan and Angad Vir Singh Bajwa who took on Qatar's Nasar Al-Attiya, Ali Ahmed Al-Ishaq and Rashid Hamas.

The visitors started in a very good fashion in the first round. They took an early lead against India, but the hosts bounced back in style in the next three rounds. Ultimately, Khangura and co clinched the gold medal as well with the scoreline reading 6-2.

With this win, India have added to their already huge lead at the top of the medals tally. At the end of the third day at the ISSF World Cup, they have won 14 medals which include 6 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze. The USA are currently at second place with six medals.

Earlier today, India's Divyansh Singh Panwar and Elavenil Valarivan won the Gold medal in the 10m Air Rifle – Mixed Team event, while Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary won the Gold medal in the 10m Air Pistol – Mixed Team event.
