Manu Bhaker will use the time for injury recovery and to pursue her hobbies.
Manu Bhaker was one of the most successful Indian shooters at Paris Olympics 2024. She gave it her all and will now take a break from it. In an interview with the Press trust of India (PTI), Bhaker spoke about her bruised hand as a result of intense training over the past few months. She has made it clear that it is a break and not a vacation.
Manu Bhaker will be continuing her daily routine which includes Yoga and waking up early in the morning. The acclaimed shooter has proved that the champion mindset will always be present in her. Bhaker will not be seen in the shooting range for three months and is keen on following her hobbies during the time.
The double Olympic medallist has made plans on pursuing the activities she has missed out on. Few of them have caught the attention of her coach, Jaspal Rana. The former Olympian shooter has different views regarding horse riding and skating. Bhaker intends to do them both as she was cautioned by Rana on taking precautionary measures while horse riding and skating.
Manu Bhaker assured Rana that she had been taking classes in horse riding and he had nothing to worry about. The 22-year-old even stated that skydiving and scuba diving are also on her list during the break. The daring athlete will make full use of the time to recover from injuries and rejuvenate her mind.

Bhaker also revealed that she used to take Martial arts classes. She said,’ I was not able to get that kind of time to invest myself into martial arts. Finally, I can take time off for my hobbies, and I have many, many hobbies.’
While not skydiving or scuba diving, the Jhajjar born shooter will take time to resume her Bharatnatyam and violin classes. Bhaker’s multi talented hobbies will take priority over other things in the next few months as fans will anticipate her arrival at the end of the year. Manu Bhaker as a result of the three month break will not be competing at the ISSF World Cup at Delhi in October.
