The 28-year-old is making her debut at the Olympic games in Paris.
Manu Bhaker suffered a setback in the shoot-off today, ending her hopes of winning a third medal at Paris Olympics 2024. Manu Bhaker scored 28 in the 25 meter pistol women’s final at the French National Shooting Center Range on the eighth day of Paris Olympics 2024. She finished fourth with a score of 28 and lost narrowly to Veronika Major in a shoot off.
Manu would probably rue a slow start to her pistol final, as she managed only two hits above the 10.2 mark in the first of 10 five-shot series at a 25-metre target.
But she bounced back in style, shooting four hits in four of the next six series, the fifth a perfect five, moving her into a second-place tie with Kamil Jedrzejewski of the host nation, who both recorded 26 hits. Korean Yang Jin led the way with 28 hits.
Two hits in the eighth series helped Hungary’s Veronika Major catch up with the Indian and both had to go into a shoot-off to confirm the medal. Veronika missed the second hit, but Manu also made two misses to secure the medal The Koreans also had to win the gold medal through a shoot-off, Camille won the silver and Veronica won the bronze at Paris Olympics 2024.
