The Asian Shooting Championships 2026 is set to take place from February 2 to 14 in New Delhi, India. The marquee competition will witness the participation of 311 athletes from 20 countries fighting for 30 medals.
Seven defending champions from the 2025 edition have returned to compete in 2026, which also includes five Indian athletes.
Interestingly, India have fielded their biggest-ever contingent in this edition, having the presence of 118 athletes across junior and senior categories. The youth competition will also be held along with the main events. Among the senior lot, Samrat Rana, Arjun Babuta, Elavenil Valarivan, Aishwary Tomar, and Manu Bhaker will be key medal hopes for the country.
Meanwhile, Kazakhstan have the second-biggest squad, comprising 35 athletes, followed by 28 players from Iran.
The tournament is crucial for the Indians as well as the foreign athletes, as it will help them prepare for the Asian Games and the World Championships.
