Shaw and Akriti have decided to separate and called off their engagement. The announcement was made through social media around six months after they publicly confirmed their engagement. Akriti shared a post on her official Instagram handle and announced the separation.
She wrote:
“With a heavy heart, I would like to share that my fiancé and I have decided to part ways due to different goals and circumstances for our future. As much as we love and care for each other, we’ve come to accept that our paths are not meant to be together. With our responsibilities and the circumstances we are currently facing, we have mutually decided to go our separate ways.”
Notably, the two got engaged on March 8, and they announced it through a social media post. Akriti posted several pictures of her and Shaw from the special moment. In one of the photos, Shaw was seen proposing to Akriti, kneeling down.
However, after their engagement, there were some rumours that the two are not happy with each other. In July, Akriti posted a cryptic message of cheating from Shaw’s side on social media, which ignited the speculation more.
The 23-year-old is an actor and social media influencer who is Lucknow-based. She has over 3 million followers on her Instagram. She has also worked with some movies, including Trimukha.
