Prithvi Shaw’s fiancee Akriti Agarwal has shared a cryptic post on Instagram.
Young Indian Cricket Team batter Prithvi Shaw is engaged to social media influencer Akriti Agarwal. The rumours about their relationship started doing the rounds on social media last year in September, when the couple shared photos of themselves celebrating the Ganesh Chaturthi festival. They were subsequently spotted together at high-profile events.
In March 2026, they made their relationship official by sharing their photos at the wedding ceremony of Shaw’s childhood friend Arjun Tendulkar. On March 8, Shaw and Akriti got engaged and shared their photos on social media.
Shaw posted a heart-warming post on Instagram- pictures of himself down on one knee proposal-style with the caption- “From sixes on the field to a lifetime of hits off it. She’s my perfect innings!”. A few days later, photos of the couple visiting Ujjain Mahakaleshwar Temple together at Aarti went viral.
The couple are looking forward to getting married soon, but a cryptic post by Prithvi Shaw’s wife has taken the internet by storm. She shared a story on her Instagram on July 5 (Sunday) about cheating without much details; however, the fans have assumed that the post is targeted towards Shaw and that something is not wrong between them.

On her Instagram account, Shaw’s fiancee shared a black-coloured background with a text that spoke about cheating scandal.
“I got cheated on so many times, yet I never said a word. Still can’t believe that after taking one step ahead. Everything is true; every rumour is true. What you see on social media about him,” she wrote. However, the post has been deleted by her.
Notably, since Akriti did not mention Prithvi’s name in her story nor did she unfollow the Maharashtra player on Instagram, it isn’t clear if the post was meant for him. Moreover, Akriti has also not deleted her engagement posts from her account.
Meanwhile, Shaw was part of Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 but did not play any games. Despite the team’s struggles, he warmed the bench during the entire season. His last game for the Indian Team was in 2021, and since then, he has been aiming for his comeback. He was picked in the national squad once but did not get a chance to play.
During the IPL 2026 , Shaw spoke to Star Sports about his comeback Indian Cricket Team. “If I don’t think about a comeback, then what’s the point? That’s why I am playing. Who doesn’t want to play for India? You have to be there, and I am working towards that,” Shaw said.
“I enjoyed my life in the last year. Went to a couple of destinations to keep my mind fresh. Then I came back. The same routine, practised, worked hard, be it my training or batting. Whatever I used to do, I started doing it 3x more. I think it was a good break for me. I don’t see it as a step back, but it was a needed break, so I get myself back stronger mentally,” he added.
