Squash World Cup 2025: Full schedule, fixtures, results, live streaming details

India is the only nation to host consecutive Squash World Cups, both staged in Chennai’s top venues.
The Squash World Cup 2025 returns to Chennai for the third consecutive year, with the 2025 edition scheduled to take place from December 9 to 14 at the Express Avenue Mall and Indian Squash Academy (ISA).
A total of 12 teams, divided into four groups of three teams each, will fight for the trophy. Hong Kong, South Africa, and Korea are pitted in Pool A, while Pool B includes Brazil, Switzerland, and hosts India.
Malaysia, Australia, and Poland are drawn in Pool C, while Iran and Japan are drawn with defending champions Egypt in Pool D.
The Squash World Cup was first staged in 1996 in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, bringing together 16 teams from around the world. Australia emerged as the inaugural champions, defeating England 3–0 in the final.
Since its inception, the tournament has been held on three more occasions. England claimed the title in 1999 in the Netherlands, while Egypt lifted the trophy in 2011 when the event was hosted in Chennai.
The most recent edition in 2023 also took place in Chennai and introduced several major changes, most notably equal representation for men and women in each team and the introduction of games played to seven points, a first in world squash.
Egypt went on to clinch the title after a thrilling comeback win over Malaysia in front of a packed crowd at Express Avenue Mall.
The competition will begin with four pools of three teams each, followed by the knockout rounds. Every tie will feature two men’s and two women’s matches, ensuring equal participation.
Matches will be played as best-of-five games, with each game played to seven points. If the score reaches 6–6, a sudden-death point will decide the game.
In terms of scoring, wins in the top women’s and men’s matches will be worth two points each, while victories in the second-ranked matches will earn one point. During the knockout stage, if a tie ends level, the team with the higher positive difference between games won and lost will advance.
The top two teams from each pool will qualify for the quarter-finals, followed by the semis and the final.
