Manika Batra will be the lone Indian participant in the tournament.

The second edition of the WTT Champions Macau 2023 Table Tennis event is set to be held in Macau from April 17 to April 23, 2023. Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha are the defending champions in the men’s and women’s sections respectively of WTT Champions Macau 2023. World No. 1 Fan Zhendong won the WTT champions event last week defeating countrymate and World No. 7 Liang Jingkun.

Sun Yingsha extended her unbeaten run to 21 matches by defeating Wang Yidi in the finals last week. Fan Zhendong and Sun Yingsha look like firm favourites to win the WTT Champions Macau 2023 trophy. 

Top-ranked Indian women’s singles paddler Manika Batra will be up against Cheng I-Ching of Chinese Taipei in the opening round. Manika lost in the opening round last week and will now look to cross the opening hurdle and book a place in the pre-quarterfinals (most likely opponent WR 6 Mima Ito of Japan).
