The WTT Contender Skopje 2026 is set to bring exciting table tennis action to North Macedonia as several top international paddlers gear up for the prestigious event at the Sports Center Jane Sandanski in Skopje.
Scheduled to take place from June 1 to June 7, the tournament carries a total prize pool of USD 100,000 along with valuable ranking points on offer as players continue their push towards major international competitions later this season.
The men’s singles field will be led by Denmark’s Anders Lind, Slovenia’s Darko Jorgic and French paddlers Flavien Coton and Simon Gauzy. South Korea’s Oh Junsung, USA’s Kanak Jha and India’s Manav Thakkar are also among the prominent names participating in the tournament.
In women’s singles, Japan’s Satsuki Odo enters as the top seed alongside compatriot Honoka Hashimoto. South Korea’s Joo Cheonhui, Puerto Rico’s Adriana Diaz, Egypt’s Hana Goda and Romania’s Bernadette Szocs are also expected to challenge for the title.
The doubles categories also feature several experienced international combinations. In men’s doubles, South Korea’s Lim Jonghoon and Oh Junsung enter as the top seeds while France’s Florian Bourrassaud and Esteban Dorr and Belgium’s Martin Allegro and Adrien Rassenfosse will also be among the title contenders.
Japan’s Satsuki Odo and Sakura Yokoi headline the women’s doubles field, while Spain’s Alvaro Robles and Maria Xiao are the top seeds in mixed doubles.
For India, Manav Thakkar will lead the challenge in men’s singles after enjoying a steady rise in international table tennis over the past few seasons. In women’s singles qualifying, Swastika Ghosh and Syndrela Das will also aim to secure places in the main draw.
