Season 6 of UTT will get underway from May 31 in Ahmedabad.
As the Ultimate Table Tennis 2025 gets ready to serve up high-octane action from May 31 to June 15 at EKA Arena in Ahmedabad, all eyes are on the next generation of Indian talent ready to take centre stage.
With seasoned stars returning and fresh faces stepping into the spotlight, this season promises more than just rallies and smashes—it’s about rising players rewriting the future of Indian table tennis.
These young contenders bring grit, ambition, and fearless flair to the court. They’re not just playing for points—they’re playing to prove they belong. Here are five young athletes who are primed to make a serious impact this season in UTT 2025.
Top emerging Indian players to watch in Ultimate Table Tennis 2025
5. Ananya Chande
Maharashtra’s quiet star, Ananya Chande, is steadily emerging as India’s next TT ace. Starting at age 7, she’s now the state’s No #1 and recently struck hat-trick of gold medals at the South Asian Youth Championships 2025.
With her first WTT Youth Contender silver in Vadodara 2025 and a breakthrough into WTT Star Contender Chennai 2025 main draw, she’s rising fast. Calm, committed, and quietly lethal—Ananya’s the under-the-radar force every Ultimate Table Tennis fan should be watching.
4. Suhana Saini
Suhana Saini is a whirlwind of talent. Starting at age 5, she now commands attention in the UTT league. The constant, rhythmic pitter-patter of her TT racquet may present Suhana Saini as a seasoned percussionist, but the youngster is actually a skilled guitarist–shredding her axe, when she’s not swatting her opponents.
Off-court, she’s also a long-distance runner, and Novak Djokovic devotee. Carrying her parents’ dreams and her own fierce ambition, Suhana blends fire and finesse, making her one of the most exciting players in UTT 2025.
3. PB Abhinandh
At just 17, PB Abhinandh is emerging as the next standout from Tamil Nadu’s table tennis lineage—following in the footsteps of legends like Sharath Kamal and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran, while dominating the state rankings across three categories: U17, U19, and Senior Men.
As the youngest-ever player drafted into UTT at just 16 during Season 5 and currently India’s No #1 in the U-17 category, Abhinandh is fast establishing himself as a brightest force for the next wave of Indian table tennis talent.
With anime hero Baki Hanma (Called as Champion) as his favourite, legends like MS Dhoni, Cristiano Ronaldo as inspiration and Olympic dreams in sight, he’s clinched multiple international medals, including gold at WTT events at Berlin and Bangkok. Consistent and quietly dominant—Abhinandh is a name to watch this season.
2. Taneesha Kotecha
Taneesha Kotecha is India’s U-19 No #1 and a rising name to watch. With a composed approach and medal-winning consistency, she’s already bagged golds and silvers at WTTs and National Games. Known for her lucky T-shirt ritual and grounded mindset, the Nashik native brings both discipline and drive to the table.
Her journey from squad rookie to a retained player in UTT 2025 is a testament to her progress. Taneesha’s Olympic aspirations are as real and are well within reach.
1. Ankur Bhattacharjee
India’s top U-19 and no #2 in men’s rankings, 19-year-old Ankur Bhattacharjee is a TT force to reckon with. Nicknamed the “Bengal Tiger,” he’s dominated WTT events and National Championships alike. A Bengali poet and cricket fan off-court, his explosive TT style mirrors Chinese Grand Slam champion Zhang Jike’s aggression.
With wins over top-ranked global players including Lilian Bardet of France and Andreas Slavenko of Austria during UTT Season 5 and ambitions of Olympic and Asian gold, Ankur stands as a fierce hope for Kolkata ThunderBlades in UTT Season 6.
