WTT Champions Incheon 2024: Updated schedule, fixtures, live streaming details
Manika Batra is lone Indian participant in fray.
The inaugural edition of the WTT Champions Incheon 2024 table tennis event is scheduled to take place in Incheon from March 27 to March 31, 2024. In last week’s WTT Singapore Smash, World No. 1 Wang Chuqin emerged victorious by defeating his countrymate and World No. 3, Liang Jingkun.
Meanwhile, World No. 1 in women’s rankings, Sun Yingsha, aims to regain her form after suffering a quarter-final defeat in the Singapore Smash against her compatriot, CHEN Xingtong. Notably, World No. 1 Wang Chuqin has opted not to participate in this event. As a result, Fan Zhendong and Sun Yingsha stand out as strong contenders for the WTT Champions Incheon 2024 trophy.
India’s top-ranked women’s singles player, Manika Batra, faces a challenging opening round against Japan’s Hina Hayata. After her first-round exit in the Singapore Smash last week, Manika is determined to overcome the initial hurdle and secure a spot in the pre-quarterfinals. Her most likely opponent in that stage would be Dina MESHREF of Egypt (currently ranked 27th).
