Many bigwigs from women's tennis will compete for the top prize in the mega event.

The Credit One Charleston Open 2023 is set to be held from 03 April 2023 to 09 April 2023 in Charleston, USA. It is a WTA 500-ranking tournament. This will be the start of the clay season in the WTA circuit. The tournament has been held every year since 1973 and is the oldest professional women’s tournament in America and is the only tournament to be played on green clay courts. The 50th edition is set to feature top women's players in action.

Reigning champion and fourth seed Belinda Bencic will look to defend the title in the singles section. In the doubles section, Andreja Klepac and Magda Linette will be looking to defend the title. World Number three Jessica Pegula is the top seed in the 64-player singles main draw. Pegula lost in the semifinals at the WTA 1000 Miami Open last week. Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka had to withdraw from the tournament owing to an injury. Fifth seed and 2021 champion Veronika Kudermetova is part of the draw.
