Tennis: List of all WTA 500 tournaments in 2023

The tour has four events with dates yet to be announced.

The tennis WTA 500 tournaments are a type of tennis tournament on the Women's Tennis Association tour that has been in place since the schedule was reorganized in 2021.

In the run-up to the season's first Major, the women's season also begins in Australia and New Zealand. The women's season will follow a similar pattern to the men's, with a few changes here and there.

The majority of events from the previous season have returned to the tour. This is a tentative schedule that may change in the future.

List of all WTA 500 events in 2023

United Cup: Dec 29-Jan 8

The United Cup 2023 was the inaugural edition of the United Cup, an international outdoor hard-court mixed-gender team tennis tournament organized by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and the Women's Tennis Association (WTA).

It was held at three venues in the Australian cities of Brisbane, Perth, and Sydney as the opener for the 2023 ATP Tour and the 2023 WTA Tour.

Adelaide International 1: Jan 1-Jan 8

Wimbledon

The tournament is in its fourth year for the women and its third year for the men. From January 1 to 8, 2023, the tournament was held at the Memorial Drive Tennis Centre in Australia. Aryna Sabalenka emerged as the singles champion.

Adelaide International 2: Jan 9-Jan 14

The tournament was brought into play as a temporary replacement for the Sydney International in Sydney, New South Wales, which hosted the inaugural 2023 United Cup.

The tournament was held at the Memorial Drive Tennis Centre from January 9 to 14, 2023, a week before the 2023 Adelaide International 1, a combined ATP Tour 250 and WTA 500 tournament at the same venue.

Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open: Feb 6-Feb 12

The Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open 2023 was a professional women's outdoor hard-court tennis tournament. The tournament was held for the second time as a WTA 500 event on the 2023 WTA Tour. 

It occurred from February 6 to 12, 2023, at Abu Dhabi's Zayed Sports City International Tennis Centre. The tournament returns to the WTA Tour after a two-year hiatus due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Qatar TotalEnergies Open: Feb 13-Feb 18

The Qatar Total Open, also known as the Qatar TotalEnergies Open, was an outdoor hard-court professional women's tennis tournament held in 2023. It was the event's 21st edition as a WTA 500 tournament on the WTA Tour in 2023. It was held from the 13th to the 18th of February, 2023 at the International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha, Qatar.

Credit One Charleston Open: Apr 3-Apr 9

The 2023 Charleston Open is a professional women's tennis tournament. The event will be held at the Family Circle Tennis Center in Charleston from April 3rd to April 9th, 2023, and is classified as a WTA 500 tournament on the 2023 WTA Tour.

Porsche Tennis Grand Prix: Apr 17-Apr 23

The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix 2023 is a women's professional tennis tournament held on indoor clay courts at the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart, Germany, from April 17 to 23, 2023.

The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix will be held for the 45th time in 2023, and it will be a WTA 500 tournament on the WTA Tour.

Bett1 Open: Jun 19-Jun 25

The Bett1open, also known as the German Open, is a women's tennis tournament that takes place every year and is part of the WTA 500 tour. The competition will take place from June 19 to June 25, 2023.

The event was reborn as the Bett1 Open in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic; the first edition of the rebooted tournament took place in 2021 at the Rot-Weiss Tennis Club in Berlin.

Rothesay International: Jun 26-July 1

The tournament is held on outdoor grass courts and is regarded as a "warm-up" for the Wimbledon Championships, a major tournament that begins the following week.

The 2023 Rothesay International Eastbourne tennis tournament will occur at Devonshire Park from June 25 to July 1.

Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic: Jul 31-Aug 6

The Silicon Valley Classic will be held on the San Jose State University campus in San Jose, California, United States. It is a week-long WTA Tour tennis tournament sponsored by Mubadala Investment Company.

The WTA 500 tournament's classic event in Silicon Valley will be held from July 31 to August 6, 2023.
