Iga Swiatek has been top-ranked women's singles player since April 4, 2022.

On 29th July 2023, the tennis world witnessed a historic moment as Iga Swiatek, the young Polish sensation, etched her name in the annals of tennis history.

With her victory over Czech teenager Linda Nosková in the Quarter Finals of the Poland Open, Swiatek not only secured her 100th match as the world No. 1 but also became the eighth player to reach this remarkable milestone since the WTA Rankings were first published in 1975. Serena Williams has spent 319 weeks as world no.1, Chris Evert with 260 weeks at No. 1, and the immensely talented Martina Hingis, with 209 weeks, Martina Navratilova and Steffi Graf, with 332 and 377 weeks at the summit, respectively.

Iga has curranty spent 70 consecutive weeks at world no.1. It is also the most by any active player on the circuit.
