Wimbledon 2023: Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan/N Sriram Balaji vs Austin Krajicek/Ivan Dodig highlights
The Indian duo were inducted into the main draw as the alternate pair.
India’s Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Sriram Balaji are the recent entrants into the main draw of Wimbledon 2023. The men’s doubles pair were the ninth alternates when the draw was officially announced and after a span of weeks have made it to the main draw. They are set to take on second seeds seed Austin Krajicek and Ivan Dodig in the opening round today.
Fondly called BalaJee, the pair has had good results since the start of 2023 season. They entered the Maharashtra Open (ATP 250) as an alternate pair and went on to reach the final. In the successive week, the Indian pair entered the Australian Open again as an alternate pair and went on to reach the second round at the first grand slam of the season.

The “tale of alternates” continued further with the Indian pair receiving another alternate spot, this time at Wimbledon 2023. Also the pair has participated in all the three grand slams (Australian Open, French Open, and Wimbledon) this year and are ranked inside the top 100 of ATP doubles rankings.Recent Performances.
Jeevan and Balaji havent played together for the past month with the former suffering from an injury. Balaji in the meanwhile, partnered alongside Gonzales Escobar (Surbiton Challenger) and Aisam Ul Haq Qureshi (Nottingham Challenger and Ilkley Challenger) on the grass court tournaments. He also partnered Rohan Bopanna in an exhibition match a few days prior to the start of the main draw.
Alongside BalaJee, the other Indians in the fray, Yuki Bhambri and Saketh Myneni too have entered the main draw as an alternate pair and will be taking on Alejandro Fokina and Adrian Mannarino. Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden progressed to the second round after a close win against Argentinian pair Tomas Etcheverry and Guillermo Duran yesterday.
