Novak Djokovic will continue his chase for a fifth straight and eighth overall Wimbledon title as he faces young Italian star Jannik Sinner in the Wimbledon 2023, men's single semi-finals. The 36-year-old cruised through the opening three rounds at Wimbledon 2023 before dropping a set against Hubert Hurkacz in the fourth round. He also lost the first set against Andy Rublev in the quarter-final but recovered to register a rather dominating victory.

Sinner likewise has also dropped only two sets so far but will need to put up the best performance of his career to enter his maiden Grand Slam final. The eighth-seeded Italian will also face the first seeded player all tournament when he meets Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon 2023 men's singles semi-finals. Sinner is the first player since Rafael Nadal in 2019 to reach a Wimbledon semi-final in men's singles without beating a seeded player.

Although he is chasing his maiden major crown, Sinner is a seven-time tour level champion and has reached two ATP Masters 100 final, with both coming in Miami in 2021 and 2023. A title win at Wimbledon 2023 will see him rise from career high World No. 8 to World No. 4, but for that he must first beat Djokovic and then one of Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev in the final.
