India's Sidharth Rawat, Karan Singh storm into ITF Davangere pre-quarters

Top seeded doubles pair Purav Raja and Ramkumar Ramanathan entered the quarterfinals with a comeback win.
The promising Indian player, Sidharth Rawat, had a confident start in the ITF Davangere Men's World Tennis Tour, which began at the prestigious Davangere Tennis Association courts. As the fifth seed, he secured a comfortable 6-1, 6-4 victory over Suraj Prabodh, earning a spot in the pre-quarterfinals of the US $15,000 event.
In one of the only two singles matches held on the day, Karan Singh showcased his court skills by defeating another local player, Rishi Reddy, with an impressive scoreline of 6-1, 6-4.
The tournament's inauguration featured Deputy Commissioner Dr. VM Venkatesh, Davangere, Air Marshal HB Rajaram, PVSM, Superintendent of Police Uma Prashant, Assistant Commissioner Durgashree, Corporation Commissioner Renuka, ITF Tournament Supervisor Puneeth Gupta, and District Youth Services & Sports Assistant Director Jaylakshmi, among others.
Notable results from the doubles pre-quarterfinals included a 95-minute battle between the second-seeded pair of Bogdan Bobrov and Nick Chappell from the USA, who faced a tough challenge from the all-Indian team of Rishab Agarwal and Nitin Kumar Sinha but ultimately prevailed 6-7 (4), 6-1, 11-9.
The top-seeded duo of Purav Raja and Ramkumar Ramanathan overcame a late fightback from the Indo-Malaysian combination of Dev Javia and Mitsuki Wei Kang Leong to secure a 6-3, 7-6 (4) victory and enter the quarterfinals.
