Top two seeds Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic have both received first round byes.
The ninth and final ATP Masters 1000 event of 2023 – the Rolex Paris Masters 2023 will see Carlos Alcaraz resume his campaign after a brief interruption due to injury. He pulled out of the recently concluded Basel Indoor event to recuperate. World No. 1 Novak Djokovic will be looking to win his seventh Paris Masters. The Serbian lifted the Paris Masters trophy in 2009, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2019, and 2021. Meanwhile, Alcaraz will be making his debut at the prestigious hard-court event.
Both these players have already received first-round byes, and there is a possibility they may meet at the summit clash, as they are on the opposite ends of the draw.
This tournament is also a good indicator of who will qualify for the Nitto ATP Finals, which is slated for the third week of November. Only three out of the eight available spots for the Turin event remain up for grabs. Defending champion Holger Rune, who defeated Novak Djokovic in 2022, will also return. Rune, who is 8th in the race to Turin, will look to win to cement his place for the year-ending Nitto ATP Finals.
When and where will the Rolex Paris Masters 2023 take place?
The action at the Rolex Paris Masters 2023 is all set to begin on October 30 (Monday) and will wrap up on the 5th of November.
