The final day of the Rolex Paris Masters 2023 has arrived, with the singles final between Novak Djokovic and Grigor Dimitrov set to commence in just a few hours. The Serbian maintained his undefeated record in the semifinals of the ATP Paris Masters, although he had to come from a set down in his match against Andrey Rublev in the Parisian neighborhood of Bercy.
The World No. 1 required medical attention for his lower back before the final set began. Djokovic took a little over three hours to overcome Rublev, securing his spot in the seventh tour-level final of the 2023 season. Notably, it also marks his seventh Paris Masters final.
Novak Djokovic boasts a flawless 9-0 record in the semifinals in Paris-Bercy, where he will face Grigor Dimitrov in Sunday's final as he seeks to capture his 40th masters crown.
The Bulgarian defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-3, 6-7(1), 7-6(3) in their semi-final encounter. Djokovic enters the final with an 11-1 lead in their head-to-head meetings against the World No. 17. The Serb suffered defeat to Dimitrov only once, at the 2013 ATP Masters 1000 event in Madrid. The two most recently crossed paths at the Rome Masters in the round of 32.
