Australia top the list with 28 appearances.
The Davis Cup, established in 1900 by Dwight F. Davis, is one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious tennis tournaments. It is a team event where players from various nations unite to represent their countries against other national teams. The United States of America has been the most successful nation, with an impressive record of 32 titles and 29 runner-up finishes.
Prior to 1972, the reigning champion was granted direct passage to the final round. However, since 1972, all teams competed in each round to advance.
