The 2023 season was a successful one for Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden, who claimed the titles at the Indian Wells Masters and the Doha ATP 250 event. Wesley Koolhof and Nikola Mektic secured Auckland in early 2024. The pair from the Netherlands and Croatia overcame the top-seeded Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos 6-3, 6-7(5), 10-7 to lift the ATP 250 trophy.

Koolhof and Mektic, both former No. 1s in the Pepperstone ATP Doubles Rankings, were competing in their first tournament together since their victory at the 2020 Nitto ATP Finals — where they also defeated Granollers and Zeballos in the last four.
