Belarusian tennis star Aryna Sabalenka recently uploaded a picture on her social media account where she can be seen taking treatment for her right shoulder.
Last week, Aryna Sabalenka announced her withdrawal from the 2024 Wimbledon Championships. The 25-year-old revealed that she has been suffering from rare shoulder pain. She also faced problems in the quarter-finals at the 2024 French Open, where she lost to Russian prodigy Mirra Andreeva in three sets.
Sabalenka returned at the 2024 Berlin Ladies Open and announced that she won’t be participating at the Paris Olympics because she’s prioritizing her health. She started her campaign at the WTA 500 event with a dominant win over Russia’s Daria Kasatkina.
However, she had to withdraw from the quarter-finals due to shoulder pain. She was facing eventual runner-up Anna Kalinskaya in the match. Aryna Sabalenka later arrived at the All England Lawn Tennis Club amid injury concerns. However, she later confirmed her withdrawal from the Grand Slam too.

Sabalenka wrote on social media, “Heartbroken to have to tell you all that I won’t be able to play The Championships this year. I tried everything to get myself ready but unfortunately, my shoulder is not cooperating. This tournament means so much to me and I promise I’ll be back stronger than ever next year.”
She recently uploaded a picture on her Instagram account, where she can be seen taking treatment for her shoulder. However, the two-time Australian Open champion is yet to give a proper heads-up about her health.

Aryna Sabalenka reached the semi-finals at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships. As a result, she has also lost 800 WTA ranking points. She already lost the second spot in the WTA world rankings to America’s Coco Gauff. The Belarusian tennis star was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the French Open while Guaff reached the semi-finals.
Coco Gauff is currently in the third round at the Wimbledon Championships. She defeated countrywoman Caroline Dolehide in the first round at the tournament, 6-1, 6-2. In the second round, she cruised past Romania’s Anca Todoni, with the scoreline reading 6-2, 6-1. Guaff will face qualifier Sonay Cartal in the third round.
