Aryna Sabalenka made her runway debut at Vogue World 2026: Milano, and it wasn’t the kind of appearance anyone expected from a tennis player.
Fulfilling her role as an ambassador for the fashion house, Sabalenka strutted down the runway at Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with immense style and confidence, wearing a glossy chocolate-brown Gucci gown.
The internet was stunned by her dazzling look, and the way she carried herself was incredible to watch, with Russian model Irina Shayk hailing her as “runway queen,” a title Sabalenka happily accepted online. She wasn’t the only tennis star turning heads that night.
Former World No. 8 Lorenzo Musetti, dressed in a Bottega Veneta suit, stepped into the crowd to escort Jennifer Lopez onto the runway himself, sharing a brief, coordinated dance and spin with her before letting the pop star take over the spotlight.
After taking a couple of weeks off following the US Open’s conclusion, both Sabalenka and Musetti will soon return to action after their memorable detour from the tour. The Belarusian will compete at the China Open, while Musetti heads to Tokyo for the Japan Open.
This week on the WTA tour has been just like that, with several big names taking a break from tennis to rest and recharge.
Elena Rybakina, fresh off winning her maiden US Open title and becoming the new World No. 1 for the first time in her career, posed for a striking photoshoot against the New York skyline, wearing both a bold scarlet red dress and a black gown with a crystal-embellished collar.
‘Her bold look surprised fans who were used to seeing her as a shy figure. Naomi Osaka also appeared in Milan, arriving in a dramatic black floor-length gown before walking the runway herself in a basketball-inspired black-and-orange Nike dress, tying into the theme of the night’s “Made in Italy” segment.
It capped a year in which Osaka’s fashion choices at every Grand Slam, from a jellyfish-inspired look in Melbourne to a Japanese kimono at Wimbledon, have become nearly as talked about as her tennis itself.
