Aryna Sabalenka's US Open 2025 kit reveal leaves fans disappointed; 'Nike really hates her'

The US Open 2025 outfit for World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka has been revealed, and it’s a Nike design the Belarusian will wear as she defends her crown at Flushing Meadows starting August 25.

The kit includes two options: a black dress with a side cut near the waist, paired with orange shoes and black socks, likely for night matches, and a white dress with a black border for daytime play.

While the design is sleek, reactions among fans have been mixed. Some were disappointed that Sabalenka once again did not receive a custom-made outfit despite her stature in the game.

One fan expressed frustration, stating, “Let’s hope that these 2 outfits are for Aryna and her alone. She deserves it by now. Defending champion and 52 weeks and counting at (World No.1). Nike celebrate all players like you do with Naomi and Emma.”

Other reactions were blunt, “She deserves better. Nothing special about those at all. Sabalenka is already a legend, please treat her like one,” said one of them.

Another fan joked, “Nike hates Aryna since the beginning!”

Meanwhile, amid the chatter around her kit, Sabalenka is gearing up for to grab her first major title of the year. The 26-year-old is looking to bounce back after a tough season where she lost in the Australian Open final to Madison Keys, the French Open final to Coco Gauff, and the Wimbledon semi-final to Amanda Anisimova.

Her US Open build-up also took a hit as the three-time Grand Slam winner fell to Elena Rybakina in straight sets (1–6, 4–6) in the Cincinnati Open quarter-finals.

Now, Sabalenka is facing the challenge of regaining her red-hot form in New York, where she lifted the trophy last year by defeating Jessica Pegula in the final.
