Aryna Sabalenka defeated Jessica Pegula to win US Open 2024 title.
Aryna Sabalenka is currently enjoying her time on the Greek riverside alongside her boyfriend Georgios Frangulis and her family. She recently beat Jessica Pegula to lift their maiden US Open title, also her third overall Grand Slam trophy.
Earlier this year, she won the Australian Open by defeating China’s Qinwen Zheng in the final. She was also runner-up at Flushing Meadows in 2023, after losing to American Coco Gauff. After the triumph, she decided to take a rest from tennis and enjoy her victory.
A day after winning the US Open title, Sabalenka jetted off to Switzerland with her boyfriend Georgios Frangulis. Sabalenka has been constantly uploading pictures of her exotic outings to her social media accounts. Recently, she uploaded a picture from her family vacation in Greece.
In the pictures, she was seen posing with her mother, Yulia Sabalenka, her sister Tonechka, and her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, at the Acropolis. Frangulis has also been uploading pictures with the Belarusian tennis star on his Instagram story.

He was also present in the stands when Aryna Sabalenka won the US Open. In addition to that, the Oakberry founder also uploaded a post on his social media account after Sabalenka outclassed Pegula to lift her third Grand Slam title.
Talking about the Belarusian tennis star’s on-court return, she will be in action at the WTA China Open 2024. Defending champion Iga Swiatek has withdrawn from the tournament, which will begin on September 26. Apart from the WTA World No. #1, Danielle Collins will also miss the tournament due to illness.

Elina Svitolina won’t return this season due to her foot surgery and the likes of Victoria Azarenka, Maria Sakkari, and Ons Jabeur have already pulled out. Thus, due to the withdrawal of all these tennis stars, Sabalenka can get an easy route to the championship match.
The 26-year-old, who completed the Cincinnati Masters and the US Open double, can also overtake Swiatek in the rankings if she wins in Beijing and then, Wuhan. Last year, she was seeded first in the tournament and lost to Elena Rybakina in the quarterfinals in straight sets.
Swiatek currently has 10,885 points, while Sabalenka has 8,716 points. Interestingly, after the China Open, the former’s tally will stand at 9,885 points, while the latter could increase her total to 9501 if she wins the title.
