That win extended the Belarusian’s head-to-head record against Raducanu to 3-0. Earlier in the tournament, the defending champion had overpowered past Czech star Marketa Vondrousova with a 7-5, 6-1 win.

On the other hand, Jessica Bouzas, ranked No. 42, which is also her career-high ranking, has been enjoying the best stretch of her young career.

She has reached the fourth round without dropping a set, opening her Cincinnati campaign with a 6-4, 6-4 win over seven-time Grand Slam champion Venus Williams, followed by a 6-3, 6-3 victory against Washington Open 2025 title winner Leylah Annie Fernandez, and a convincing 6-4, 6-1 win over American Taylor Townsend.

This will be the second career meeting between Sabalenka and Bouzas. Their first encounter came earlier this year at the 2025 Australian Open, where the Belarusian defeated the Spaniard 6-3, 7-5.
