Novak Djokovic is back into the top-3 ATP rankings.

Carlos Alcaraz’s maiden Australian Open triumph saw him strengthen his position at the top of the rankings chart. Gaining a massive 1600 points from his Australian Open 2026 campaign, the Spaniard is now standing at 13650 points, which is 3350 points more than next-best Jannik Sinner.

The Italian, who was defending 2,000 points in Melbourne, failed to beat Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals. As a result, he dropped 1200 points, which means the deficit between him and the No. 1 increased massively. However, with no points to defend in the upcoming months, Sinner will look to wipe out the gap.

Meanwhile, first-time runner-up at the Australian Open, Novak Djokovic returned to the No. 3 ranking gaining 500 points from his campaign Down Under. He displaced Alexander Zverev, who could not reach the finals this year.
