Davis Cup Draw 2025: Playoffs for World Group I and II Playoffs announced

Kazakhstan and Latvia head the seeds table in the World Group I and II playoffs respectively.

The Davis Cup 2025 World Group I and II Playoffs have been scheduled for early next year. They will either take place on January 31-1 February or February 1-2 in 2025, with the choice dates left to the host nation. The draws for the playoffs took place at the International Tennis Federation (ITF) office in London on October 7. 

The World Group I and II playoffs in the 2025 edition of the Davis Cup will be played on a home-or-away basis per the schedule. A total of 26 nations each will contest the WG1 and WG2 playoffs. The 13 nations victorious in the World Group I playoffs advance to play in the World Group I tie in September 2025. The nations that are unsuccessful in their victory body will contest a World Group II tie.

Those nations winning the World Group II playoffs progress to the World Group II stage, with the losing nations competing in the regional Group III events to be held later in 2025.

Kazakhstan leads the seed list in WG1, with Latvia leading the pack in WG2. Mexico and Pakistan were elevated to the World Group 1 playoffs as the revised competition structure required two additional teams to be included in the World Group I playoffs.
